A few words about the magical Fourni:

Fourni together with Thymaina and about 20 other small islands belong to an island complex with Fourni as its capital. They have probably been inhabited since the Archaic and Classical times. During Byzantium and the Middle Ages, the natural coves of the cluster of islands made the area suitable for raids protected from the strong winds that blow in the Aegean and consequently it was a den of pirates. Fourni was characterized in 2015 as the world capital of ancient shipwrecks, when 22 wrecks of ancient merchant ships were discovered in 13 days of research.

Day trip description:

The departure of the daily cruise to Fourni always takes place from the port of Agios Kirikos every Tuesday – Friday – Sunday at 09:30 with intermediate stops at the Traditional Village/Island of Thymaina, the Beach of Kabi Fourni, but also the central port of Fourni.

Every Tuesday – Friday – Sunday the daily cruise takes place with the boat “Eleftherios”.

The schedule :

• Departure from Agios Kyrykos at 09:30 with destination Thymaina Island with arrival at 10:20
• One hour stop in Thymaina, to explore the picturesque alleys of the island or to enjoy your coffee in the traditional cafes.
• Departure from Thymaina for Kabi Fournon beach.
• Stop for two and a half hours (2:30) for swimming in the clear blue waters of the beautiful Kambi beach. The beach is organized and there are two shops. The sunbeds are free with your order in the shops.
• Departure from Paralia to the central port of Fourni
• Stop 3 hours to get to know the capital of the island. You will walk in the central alley of unique beauty, covered by mulberry trees & you will choose one of the taverns that are there with fresh fish and seafood dishes (lobster pasta – shrimp pasta etc.)
• Departure at 17:30 from Fournos for Agios Kyrykos with arrival at 18:20

Every Sunday the day cruise takes place with the boat “Eleftherios”.
